In 1987, Chris Webb began renting beach umbrellas on the beach in Panama City as a summer job. Chris returned to work the beach every summer while attending Samford Universtiy in Brimingham Alabama. In 1991 Chris and Jennifer Webb graduated from Samford University, got married and started their own beach Service.

Chris and Jennifer worked the beaches of West Bay County until 1997 when they moved their operation to Walton County to service Rosemary Beach. In 2006 SeaOats Beach Service began serving Alys Beach as well.
